The Cookie Jar

The SCENE opens with Travis and Amy (two college students) parking in front of their house. Although they have been together for months, this is Amy's first time meeting Travis' parents. Travis gives Amy pep talks the whole way because she's anxious. You shouldn't be so worried," he says, handing her a bag from the truck. My parents are very tolerant people. CUT TO TITLE PLATE
The camera pans to the kitchen as the family chats and cooks together. Amy is amazed at how amazing Travis' parents are - they seem to have the perfect nuclear family. His father is quiet, but a wise and brilliant man. Mrs. Greene has a glamorous and sophisticated wife. He is a respected surgeon. It is a pleasure to watch her boyfriend's interactions with her and it may be a glimpse into her future. Travis watches as the little girl relaxes and engages in conversation. Travis is very focused on the future.
CUT to the evening itself. The family gathers in the living room and shares dessert. Travis is chagrined when Mrs. Greene tells Amy embarrassing stories about her son's childhood. As they laugh, Amy begins to notice Mr. Greene staring at her. Amy becomes nervous as they continue to make awkward eye contact, which makes Amy even more anxious. He suddenly stops talking to her and she wonders why.
CUT to Amy brushing her teeth and looking anxiously in the bathroom mirror. She goes back to Travis' room and crawls into bed next to him, while he jokes about them fucking each other in the same room he had as a kid. Travis and Amy make out. Travis tries to go down Amy's throat, but Amy is visibly concerned. She asks if they can just settle down instead. It has been quite a day. Travis is disappointed, but he understands and snuggles up to her. He turns off the light. Amy asks her boyfriend in a low voice if he hates her. Travis laughs at Amy and tells her not to be so ridiculous. Of course, he doesn't hate her. He's just a quiet man. They both go to bed.
CUT to Amy lying on her side, looking at the clock. It's 2:00 in the morning. It's 2 a.m. The girl, who has been suffering from insomnia all night, decides she needs to get up so she can sleep.
When she walks into the kitchen to get a glass of water, Travis is there. He is sitting in his bathrobe eating milk and cookies. She is surprised to find him there. He says, "I'm sorry, but I'm not awake," and dips his cookie in the milk. She whispers, "I couldn't sleep," and Amy asks if she wants some. She awkwardly starts eating the cookie while he stares at her. 'Looks like you really like my boy,' he says after a pause. She nods and tells him that Travis is amazing, the best guy she's ever dated. He continues to eat. "I think he has a lot of growing up to do," Greene says. Amy awkwardly looks down on her milk. There's another long pause. But... you're definitely the most beautiful girl he's ever brought home," Greene continues. Amy blushes and says thank you, while he continues to stare at her. As he leans in closer, he begins to feel warm on her face. He asks, "I understand that your upbringing was difficult." And that dating Travis represented a change in standards for you. Am I right? Amy tells Travis' father that she is right and that Travis is loved for his character, not for the things he has. Mr. Greene eats another cookie. But you agree that criteria are important?" he continues. She nods. He smiles at her. "As a father, I hold Travis to a very high standard. You'll understand. She nods again, beginning to feel uncomfortable about where the conversation is going. Mr. Greene gets up and takes a seat across from her. Mr. Greene smiles once more. 'I think it's possible...once you earn my blessing.'
There is an awkward silence in the room as the weight of Mr. Greene's innuendo hangs in the air. Amy stares at Mr. Greene's bulge, who is wearing pajama pants. "What are you trying to ask, Mr. Greene?" she mutters. He takes off his robe. Amy replies, "I think I'm making myself clear." He replies. 'If you want to be part of this family, you're going to have to start by impressing me. Feeling overwhelmed, Amy meekly argues that she doesn't want to hurt Travis. Mr. Greene assures Amy that Travis won't find out. In fact, they never have to talk about it again. In just 10 minutes, she will have his approval and full support for life. She hesitates. She hesitates. He asks questions. She shakes her head. The house is still. "There's a ring in the room with your name on it. A family heirloom. My grandmother's ring. He replies. "The only thing Travis is waiting for is my opinion. He pulls out his cock. Her mouth opens as she realizes what her future father-in-law is offering. COUT the next morning. Amy stares at the ceiling, reeling from the guilt of her affair the night before. She says good morning to him and he returns her kiss. Do you know how much I love you? " he asks her. Amy smiles. 'Probably not as much as I love you,' she murmurs. Travis jumps out of bed and pulls the ring box from his drawer. He then gets down on one knee. He tells Amy that she is his soul mate, the one woman he has always wanted to spend his life with, and asks her to marry him. She breaks down and says yes.
