The Deflowering

The scene opens with a black frame, as we hear Amy (Piper Perri) giggling and asking "Adam, what are you doing?". Robby Echo, her boyfriend, replies that they are almost there, but he has to hang on ...'. Amy sees the scene from Amy's point of view and we now get to see them for the first time. It's their wedding anniversary and the nerdy 19-year-old couple is celebrating in Adam's new apartment. Amy gets her bearings and looks at the rental for the first time. The rental is huge and a real home, much better than the basement her parents had. Adam brags that he can do whatever he wants without having to worry about his parents and that he wants to celebrate a romantic anniversary. Amy is shocked and doesn't understand how Adam can afford such a place, but he brushes it off saying he has found a new job and is getting his life in order to support them in the future. Amy asks for a tour of the house and Adam rushes to take her to his room. This seems strange, given the impressive house... Amy follows Adam into his room and takes his hand. He looks nervously down the hallway before closing the door. After focusing on the door for a moment, the camera moves to the next room. There we can see some burly looking men piling drugs into a bag.
The couple are making out in Adam's room for a few minutes when there is a loud knock on his door. One of the men in the hallway asks him to join them in the living room. Adam puts his hand over Amy's mouth and makes up a lame excuse but they call him a bitch and tell him to get down now. Adam tells Amy that it's just his new roommates making fun of him. She then asks Adam to stay quiet in the room. She sits down on the bed, confused, before deciding to go see what's going on. She is shocked to find her geeky boyfriend in the living room. He is being teased and berated as he weighs in. He has helped the operation by giving her free room and board. She hears him enough to realize it. He screwed up the count on their last delivery and they are about to kick him out if he doesn't make it up to her. Adam looks weak and nervous as he tries to take it easy on the guys. They love having the little nerd to hurt and use as a punching bag, especially since it's clear Adam wants to be one of them. But it all comes to a halt when they realize that Amy is standing there...
