The Rental

The scene opens with Amy, a 20-year-old college student (Aubrey Sinclair), sitting in the front seat of her car, crying. Her vehicle has been loaded with boxes and clothes, and an eviction notice sits on a notebook on the passenger seat. The student was recently kicked out of her apartment and has spent the last few days living in her car. She is dirty, tired and incredibly anxious. When her phone rings, a return call from an application she submitted, she responds enthusiastically...but her face falls when she is told, for the tenth time, that her credit is too low to be considered. Only one rental is available - a private room in a house. Since the place is close by, she decides not to call and to go there directly. Perhaps by meeting the owner personally, she will have a better chance of winning her case. She is greeted by a man when she knocks on the door. At first he is very shy and does not want to open the door. But when she tells him that she is interested in the place he has advertised, his face changes. He invites her in. He introduces himself as Philip (Tommy Pistol) and gives her a tour of the house, while she cautiously observes him. Although something about him is a little strange, the house is clean and well maintained. The price is also right, so she ignores him. She jumps at Philip's offer to move in immediately, without having to worry about a lease or a credit check. She eagerly goes out to get her things while Philip stands at the door and watches her intently.
Philip makes excuses for Amy to go into her room and watch her all day. She finds it annoying and a little creepy, especially the way her landlord leers at her, but it's so harmless that she doesn't care. Even when he is caught peeking into her room as she gets out of the shower, he is so nervous and apologetic that she doesn't care. She goes to bed, calls her mother to tell her about the move, glossing over the details, then turns off the light to go to bed. She wakes up the next morning to a strange rustling sound. Looking around the darkened room, she discovers that Philip has snuck into the room, rummaged through her dirty clothes and is now sniffing her panties while watching her sleep. She panics and confronts him, turns on the light and threatens to call the police. He calms her down and tells her that he is harmless. He is a sexual deviant who is obsessed with young women. They are everything to him: their looks, their smells and their tastes. He couldn't resist asking her about her room when she showed up at his door. It is impossible for him to resist the temptation now that she is living under his roof. He assures her that it's just a hobby and that he has no criminal record. Nervously, she asks him. If she'll just let him look at her once in a while, he promises to make the owner the easiest. She lets her guard down and realizes she can control the pervert. A negotiation ensues in which she agrees to let him "obsess" her in exchange for free room and board. Excited, he agrees to her terms... by taking off clothes and letting himself be touched by her. She finally tells him that he can use her body as he wishes in exchange for paying for his year's tuition. The horny pervert agrees.
