Too Close For Comfort

Casey (Spencer Bradley) and her husband, Shane (Lucas Frost), are awaiting the arrival of Shane's mother-in-law, Marilyn (Jennifer White). Shane is excited to see his mother-in-law, while Casey, on the other hand, is a little nervous about it. Casey admits that she doesn't feel like Marilyn likes her very much. Whenever they are in the same room, it always seems like Marilyn is competing with Casey for Shane's attention. Shane says that's not true and that they need to spend more time together. He's happy to have Marilyn visit him. Casey isn't convinced, but before she can say anything else, Marilyn arrives, dragging her bags through the door and greeting Shane with a kiss on the lips. Casey finds this surprising, but she doesn't tell them. Although Marilyn seems to be in love with Shane, it is clear that she has little or no affection for Casey. Casey surprises Shane and Marilyn several times over the next few days. This gives her something to think about. Casey first catches Marilyn secretly whispering in Shane's ear, while giving him mocking looks. Shane claims they are planning a dinner party. Casey doesn't care. Casey sees Marilyn looking at Shane's body for the second time. She does not approach them about it. But when she sees them a third time, sensually caressing each other on the couch, she can't hold her tongue. Shane moves away from his mother-in-law with a furious look. For her part, Marilyn doesn't need to hide anything and declares that she and Shane are sexually intimate. Casey can't believe her ears - it's just too much. Shane did this to Casey! Shane says that even though he tried to put it behind him after he married Casey, he can't stop being around Marilyn. He loves Casey, but hates her inability to curb this taboo urge.Casey takes all this in and then realizes that no matter what she does, Shane will always come crawling back to Marilyn. And if she can't compete with Marilyn, then maybe she can join her and Shane in their lovemaking. Marilyn is hesitant at first, but after Casey begs her to let her in, she allows it. The three of them form an active trio, and Casey does everything she can to save her marriage from Marilyn's grip.
